Founder's Previous Company

    SOLVE8 Workforce Management

Before the current Solve8 IT Services, I built a workforce management SaaS. Here's what happened.

Transparency note: This was my previous company, not a client project. I'm sharing this to show I've built and scaled real products before—not just consulted on them.

    What I Built

A workforce management platform focused on Australian field service businesses. The core features were rostering, time tracking, mobile check-in/check-out, and compliance reporting.

    The Growth Story

Started with a single customer (a plumbing company). Grew to 1,500+ active users across multiple industries—construction, cleaning, security, and facilities management.

Key growth driver: we solved a specific Australian compliance problem (Fair Work documentation requirements) better than the generic US-built competitors.

    The Exit

Successfully exited the business. I can't share specifics, but the experience taught me more about running a technology business than any consulting engagement ever could.

    Why This Matters for You

When I advise on AI strategy or automation, I'm not speaking theoretically. I've dealt with the reality of:

    • Shipping features that users actually wanted (and learning what they didn't)
    • Handling production incidents at 2am
    • Managing technical debt while trying to grow
    • Integrating with legacy systems (Xero, MYOB, various ERP systems)
    • Scaling infrastructure without blowing the budget

That practical experience shapes how I approach every engagement. I know what it's like to be on your side of the table.
